DMS: Multiple file download (backend)
Dear contributors,

I am new to repository https://github.com/OCA/dms/tree/14.0 and I have a few doubts

in RoadMap I see
Allow to download folder in portal and create zip file with all content
so I assumed this was already possible in backend, but I did not find a way myself.

Is there a way, in backend, to download all files contained in a folder or, even better, selecting multiple files from tree-view and download a zip with only those specific files?

OCA Delegates Campaign 2023....closing soon.....

Hello OCA Contributors

Just a reminder the OCA 2023 delegates campaign closes at 11:59pm UTC on the 22nd October. We currently have 9 applicants.

This is the pathway to becoming a board member. You must be a delegate to be able to apply for a board member role. We are hoping for a good selection of delegates to apply for the 2024 board in the next part of the AGA - a number of our existing board members won't be standing for re-election.

2023 DELEGATES CAMPAIGN

The 2023 OCA Delegates Campaign is open. Until October 22nd, you can apply to be an OCA Delegate if you are a current paid Member.  If you are already a Delegate, you don't need to apply again. This is for 10 new Delegates.

Why?
The Delegate Assembly is the Association’s supreme authority. Each Delegate member is entitled to one vote at the Delegate Assembly. Decisions of the Delegate Assembly are taken by a majority vote of the Delegate members present and voting. For further details, please read the Bylaws.

How?
To apply as a candidate, you have to:
• sign the CLA (if not already done)
• have a valid membership. Make sure to purchase your membership or renew it (you should have received a quotation for your renewal earlier this year).
• fill in this survey
• if you aren't sure if you have renewed/paid your membership for 2023 please contact me.
The campaign will be closed on October 22nd, 2023.

Then what?
The vote will be open from October 24th - November 4th, 2023. Current OCA Delegates will have to vote for 10 new Delegates among the candidates.
The results of the election will be announced on November 6th, 2023.
The 10 new Delegates will then take part with the existing Delegates in :
• the 2023 OCA Board Member Campaign from November 6th - 17th, 2023
• the 2023 OCA Financial Auditor Campaign from November 6th - 17th, 2023
• the 2023 General Assembly from November 20th to December 1st, 2023.

You should dive a bit into the project documentation to fine tune your question. OpenUpgrade is not for migrating modules, but provide a framework and scripts for transforming data.

Discount limit on sale order

Dear contributors,

Does anyone know if there is a module that can be used to limit the discounts applied to an order by a salesperson, or even to maintain a minimum margin on each product ?
I tried to do this using the price lists, but without success.

configuring 'Account Banking SEPA Direct Debit'

Hi all,

I am new to the list and of course I am hear because I am having some 
troubles using odoo community.

We have been trying to implement the plugin ''Account Banking SEPA 
Direct Debit' on a Odoo version 12 as described in the README of the 
package on 
https://odoo-community.org/shop/account-banking-sepa-direct-debit-101#attr=4933. 
The idea is that we would create the opportunity to have people pay 
their monthly invoice in this way.

I do have some basic understanding of Sepa Direct Debit (using it in 
CiviCRM for instance) but now I am afraid I really don't find a clue on 
how to proceed in Odoo. I tried creating mandates and invoices but 
couldn't find how to create the necessary xml's to send to the bank. I 
tried to follow the tutorial on 
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wjRClrVPHzo but don't get all the same 
options either (logical because it is not the community edition I guess).

Maybe we are missing some really basic thing or the installation is not 
correct, but if we anyone coud point me to some information or would be 
willing to help out a bit (we could even consider paying a small amount 
for support), I would be really grateful.

Hi Frederik, thank you for the references.

On the link you sent I read that there is a dependency on 'account_direct_debit'but I don't see that module in the repository, nor do I find it in our install (I have no technical access to the install but I have to ask a colleague).

Could that be the problem?

We use the SEPA Direct Credit and we documented the process on Odoo Community v12 here (in French):

It's not for the direct Debit, but might help you, maybe?!

Becoming a maintainer in l10n-poland

Hello,

I would like to become a maintainer of the l10n-poland repository. https://github.com/OCA/l10n-poland I created a PR there in March and without dedicated maintainers it is still waiting to be merged. I would like to clean up the repo, merge all pending PRs there and migrate the module to other versions.

I am an active Odoo developer with over 10 years of experience. In terms of contributions, in the last 6 months I have been translating odoo to polish (from ~40% to ~95%).

OCA Days and Delegates Campaign for the Annual AGA
Hello OCA Contributors,

Just to let you know of a few things happening at the moment:

OCA DAYS 2023:
This is now sold out. Thank you so much for the early support. We will be filming the talks and are looking forward to sharing them widely following the event. The full agenda of talks will be on the website from early next week.

SOCIAL EVENTS FOR THE OCA DAYS
For those that have registered but haven't RSVP'd to the social events please do so now, we need to know by the end of this week - just a couple of quick surveys with a yes or no and any dietary requirements. We need to get our catering orders in ASAP and want to make sure we have everyone covered:
Sunday 5th November
Monday 6th November
The Monday RSVP survey also has dietary requirements for the lunches, so please click the link.
Even if you aren't planning on sticking around on Monday for dinner and music it is helpful to know that too but we've got a food truck and drinks waiting to be consumed and would love to spend time with you.

VOLUNTEER HELP
We have number of times we need help from our attendees:
Sunday afternoon - We need help to set up the main room for the codesprint and chill out areas. It went super quick and easy last year with many hands making light work then heading to the evening social afterwards. If you can help let us know please.
Talk rooms, technical and functional - this will involve introducing speakers, making sure cameras are running and just helping things to go with the flow. If you are interested in helping with this please let me know. I'll have a roster set up next week following the release of the agenda but having a pool of people to call on will make this task much easier.

2023 DELEGATES CAMPAIGN

The 2023 OCA Delegates Campaign is open. Until October 22nd, you can apply to be an OCA Delegate if you are a current paid Member.  If you are already a Delegate, you don't need to apply again. This is for 10 new Delegates.
Why?
The Delegate Assembly is the Association’s supreme authority. Each Delegate member is entitled to one vote at the Delegate Assembly. Decisions of the Delegate Assembly are taken by a majority vote of the Delegate members present and voting. For further details, please read the Bylaws.
How?
To apply as a candidate, you have to:
• sign the CLA (if not already done)
• have a valid membership. Make sure to purchase your membership or renew it (you should have received a quotation for your renewal earlier this year).
• fill in this survey
• if you aren't sure if you have renewed/paid your membership for 2023 please contact me.
The campaign will be closed on October 22nd, 2023.
Then what?
The vote will be open from October 24th - November 4th, 2023. Current OCA Delegates will have to vote for 10 new Delegates among the candidates.
The results of the election will be announced on November 6th, 2023.
The 10 new Delegates will then take part with the existing Delegates in :
• the 2023 OCA Board Member Campaign from November 6th - 17th, 2023
• the 2023 OCA Financial Auditor Campaign from November 6th - 17th, 2023
• the 2023 General Assembly from November 20th to December 1st, 2023.

Weblate resync

Hi everyone,

Due to more and more frequent reports of situations where the .po files are not in sync with the corresponding .pot file, I have launched a full re-sync of all .po files for branches 12 to 16.

This will impact availability of translation.odoo-community.org for a little while, since our 10 years old machine is struggling to handle this big weblate instance.

This will also cause quite a few CI builds, possibly delaying pull requests checks during a few hours.

OCA CI: How to exclude a module/dependency

Hello,

We are using the OCA tooling on our public repo with modules depending on Odoo Enterprise.

I am trying to exclude a module (l10n_mx_res_partner_csf_regime) but the enterprise dependency (l10n_m_edi_40) generates errors:

OCA DMS - possibility to store documents on external storage?
Hello, I have a customer who would like to manage documents ala OCA/dms but would like them to be available on external storage system like Google Drive (for employees that do not use Odoo). They are interested in things lik Sale Orders, Invoices, ... to be available. Reading the docs / looking at the source it doesn't seem to it is directly possible / available. There is another whole repository that deals with external storage systems - OCA/storage which integrates such systems. But that stores the attachments/documents/images in a way that's not really friendly to the naked eye. Is such integration a good idea? Should it even be done or another approach should be taken? Or am I missing something? Any advice is highly welcome here. Best regards Radovan Skolnik

Nextcloud, while being an pretty solid and mature Open Source cloud tool, isn't a full blown document management system and for now doesn't pretend to be either. exactly this one. And now i am currently not aware of a proper (ideally backend agnostic) Odoo-CalDav implementation.

Hi laurent, I am talking about a combination of 2 repos basically: dms and storage. The idea is to use DMS for what it is supposed to be used but use external storage (customer asks for Google Drive) as its backend. The idea would be the documents managed in DMS wouls also be avilable from that external storage. For that, Enric's proposal seems a great fit to me... Partially paid invoices not taken into account in reminders in v16

Hello dear contributors,

It seems that, in v16, the account_invoice_overdue_reminder module does not take partially paid invoices into account in reminder.
If a customer has an invoice that has only been partially paid, it indicates that there is no reminder to be done for this customer.
This works well in v14.
Any idea about this @alexis-via ?
