Organizing the work on the OCA stock / warehouse / logistics projects

Hello everyone,

I'd like to take the opportunity of the Odoo 9 release to start organizing the work on the stock / logistics addons of the OCA, which is supposed to be handled by the logistics maintainers team (https://odoo-community.org/project/logistics-maintainers-18). So far this team is quite empty, at least officially, but I know there are lots of contributors on the various repositories which fall under its scope. I'd like to get things organized and to build up some synergy among all these contributors.

I requested the creation of a mailing list for the team (https://odoo-community.org/groups/logistics-maintainers-21), which I'd like to be the main forum of discussion, so that we get proper archives of our decisions. This would be the proper place to announce that you are starting to work on porting a module to v9 for instance in order to avoid duplication of work. It would also be a good place to discuss how we can work together on missing features, etc.

Maxime Chambreuil is working on an OCA monthly newsletter (kudos to him), and the team could be helpful in this regard to by supplying him with nice contents / summary of activities / etc

In short, if you're interested in stock / warehouse / logistics management in Odoo, and wish to contribute, please subscribe to the mailing list. Contributions include code, but also translations, documentation, testing, and domain expertise. We welcome all volunteers :-)
