[9.0]Basic Geoengine Configuration: unable to create any views (invalid field: vector layers)

Hi all I have installed the geoengine on my Odoo 9.0 without doing anything more yet. When I now want to save a newly created or manipulated view of any kind in my Odoo, I get a red error message popping up saying "The following fields are invalid: Vector layers" I assume I do have to make some basic default configuration in the Geoengine Backend, but I have no idea how, or is this a possible bug?
