Although I unfortunately missed the discussion on that very important topic you can count me an my team in on that effort. GDPR is a very important topic on our market in Germany given the special advocacy and awareness of data security and privacy in this country.

You may be aware of the EU's General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), coming into force in May 2018.

It's impact on IT systems can be compared to what happened with the Y2K or the Euro currency introduction. But chances are that it will have and ever deeper impact that those events. 

A group of people and companies are committed to implementing Odoo solutions to support the GDPR. We have several skill on board, from experts in the topic to specialists in software development.

Here is an interesting article, shared on LinkedIn, followed by a discussion on the topic:

During the Odoo Experience several of this people met together to discuss a roadmap and a collaboration project was kicked off.

The participants agreed to host the project under the OCA.
Therefore, I want to propose the creation of the project and PSC.

We will start with the specifications discussion, so the first OCA resource needed will be a project mailing list. An actual repository will only be needed later.

Anyone interested in this project will be welcome to joint the project.
