I have exchanged several messages with Martin Trigaux to know if Odoo plans to change platform, as it's interesting to have the same for both parts. For now, they have paid the Transifex fee for staying there, but he thinks that there's no special problem to change if the new platform is at least as good as current one, I have told him that I will check the alternatives you have mentioned for checking pros and cons and tell him back.

Anyway, this is only a conversation guy to guy, not OCA to Odoo, so take it as is with the corresponding non-officialism.
