I don't think LGPL is, in itself, against OCA commitment, as it is an open source license.
I think we should not and we can not mass change the license of every module. Single module can be change and it should be up to the module's authors.
I have no problems with LGPL and, also, I would like to use LGPL modules to build proprietary modules (See https://github.com/OCA/web/issues/414#issue-174299710).
I also think this would allow our ecosystem to grow.
