By example, there is a check to detect duplicated selections items.
This check is too hard for a static check, then I need use a dynamic check using a real instance of odoo with access to meta-data of "ir.model.fields"

For the xml_id references a monkey patch is used for tools.convert.convert_file to get all information required to catch them.

The core of odoo is used to get this information, then odoo change the core in each version.

IMHO the better way is a odoo module versioned: odoolint

I'm all in favor of including the the first two checks (xml_id related)
in our QA chain.

I'm more doubtful about the performance checks: in my experience,
performance issues show up with real data (several 1000s of lines in the
tables), and rarely with only demo data. However these may be useful for
others, so I'm fine with including them.

It's not clear to me why these modules need to be versionned. Could you
enlighten me?
