Sorry to hear that, I was not aware of those. Maybe the core maintainers
team should have been notified so that these things could have been
discussed and awareness increased.

But how about having the core maintainers on board by default, and let
the steering committee decide to drop them once they feel their project
is up and running with a sufficient number of dedicated project members?
