About the visibility, the one we should care about is Google/other search engines IMO, not Odoo Apps itself.

We can have the same visibility publishing in our store and it will be indexed in similar terms than the other.

OCA Apps is only behind one entry in Odoo Apps, and that's because the referred Odoo Apps module is for version 9 and it's there more time. So not having our modules in Odoo Apps will result in only appearing our OCA Apps in Google, which is the desirable scenario IMO.
