This training provides a comprehensive introduction to the OCA EDI Framework — the foundational infrastructure for configuring, managing, and automating Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) in Odoo using the OCA ecosystem.
Participants will explore the core concepts of models, configuration and entry points. We’ll walk through real-world use cases, show how to extend the framework with modular components, and demonstrate best practices for integrating EDI flows in your Odoo projects.

The first day focuses on building a solid theoretical foundation of EDI. Participants are introduced to core EDI concepts and exchange records lifecycles, with an emphasis on understanding how data flows across business processes, common EDI principles, and best practices used in daily operations.

The second day is fully dedicated to practical application through real-life EDI examples. Participants follow guided walkthroughs of key business scenarios such as sales orders, purchase orders, Spanish invoicing, WAMAs, and document quick access, enabling them to understand how theory translates into real operational use and how to manage EDI processes in practice.
It will include real life examples and examples of code that we can find in OCA.
